In what can only be described as a very challenging regular season, the Cards are set to battle it out in their opening round of the ACC Tournament against rivals Notre Dame. Games between the two have been known to be very physical, often times close (Let us never forget that 5 OT game), and downright competitive in every fashion. Coach Chris Mack has provided a much needed lift to this program in what people are calling our "Rebound/Rebuild Year". Far exceeding everyone's expectations for his premiere year as Head Coach to the program, Mack has built up quite a Resume this season with Signature wins against top ranked teams, some even being blowouts!

Tonight he'll face Notre Dame once more, trying to prove the previous win wasn't a fluke. With Jordan Nwora providing his Avg 17 points a game and Ryan MacMahon a sharpshooter behind the 3-point line, this team will still have its work cut out for them against the Fighting Irish's arsenal. As long as we get contributions from our two bigs, Malik Williams and Steven Enoch, in the post and paint, and Junior Forward and McDonald's All- American V.J. King can provide a swath of defensive and offensive plays and keep his composure going from the last few games, we can close this one out and have another W on our belt, looking good going into the rest of the Tournament and moving into the NCAA Tournament.

We sure have had our fair share of let-downs this season too. Having lost to Pitt in January and we'll never forgot all of our losses to Virginia over the course of the season and, most importantly, that abysmal 2nd Half performance against Duke where we gave up a 23 Point lead and lost. We have had problems closing out games recently and the last game we won wasn't easy. Can the Cards prove to Card Nation and themselves that they do, indeed, have it in them to close this one when it counts? We'll find out tonight I suppose. Until next time, Card Nation and remember, L1C4!
